The Examination Process

  1. Preparation No need to fast; however, it’s advisable to empty your bladder beforehand.
  2. Entering the Exam Room A doctor or nurse will explain the procedure and have you lie comfortably on the examination table.
  3. Using the Ultrasound Device A small, condom-covered transducer is gently inserted into the vagina.
  4. Image Acquisition The doctor moves the transducer to capture images of internal organs. You may feel slight pressure but no pain.
